About Cody A. Boyd, Attorney at Law

Cody Boyd is a native of Northwest Louisiana, and although school and baseball took him across the state, SBC has always been home.

Cody grew up in Haughton, LA, where he enjoyed a childhood filled with the outdoors, sports, and his many friends and family. He attended Haughton schools and ultimately graduated from Glenbrook School in 2011.

Although Cody earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration from the University of Houston, he spent most of his collegiate days in Louisiana. He played baseball at Southern University and Baton Rouge Community College, and took classes from many other Louisiana schools including LSU, and Bossier Parish Community College.

Upon enrollment at Southern University Law School, Cody realized he’d found his niche. Winning CALI awards in Toxic Torts, Business Entities, Intellectual Property, and Sales and Lease, he graduated in the top 10 of his class ranking 5th overall.

After gaining experience as a civil defense attorney, Cody knew he’d rather be fighting for the other side. With the use of his defense knowledge, he is more than prepared to fight for those he would have previously opposed.

Cody is married to his soul mate, Dr. Gabrielle Boyd, and has three children: Brooks, Posey Belle, and Teddy. He enjoys hunting, preparing to hunt, scouting land to hunt, and thinking about hunting. In all seriousness, while Cody does love spending time in the woods, he mostly enjoys time with his family, learning more about the law, studying God’s word, vacationing in the mountains, competing with friends on the golf course, and playing outdoors with his children.

Cody is a Licensed Louisiana Attorney.
